The latest Ofsted report found that Surrey County Council’s services for looked after children are only Adequate which means they only meet the minimum standards.  On behalf of the Liberal Democrat group on the council, I proposed that the council should set a target to improve that rating to good as soon as possible and that they should aim to achieve an outstanding rating.  The Conservative group who run the council voted against that proposal.  Does that mean that they think the minimum is good enough for looked after children in Surrey?
