Part of Cabell Road has now been repaired and resurfaced and is a pleasure to drive over.  There is part of Cabell Road which is still a disgrace with cracks, potholes and moving slabs.  A resident contacted me to complain about the state of that part of the road and I went round to see her this morning.

When we did our petition about Cabell Road last year, we didn’t just ask the council to do part of the road.  We asked for it all to be done.  They have only done half the job and now is the time to start campaigning for them to complete it.

I will work with residents until the whole of that road has been repaired and resurfaced to a good standard so that local people can be proud of it.

While I was at her house, she said how much better it is now that there are traffic lights instead of the old Hospital Roundabout.  Gradually, we are making a real difference to our area.
